Hendy Avenue’s Instructional Excellence Rubric provides a vision of excellence in teaching and learning across K-12 classrooms of all subjects. It supports the growth, development, and performance of teachers and students. The Instructional Excellence Rubric focuses on both teacher actions and student outcomes as a way to keep students at the center of the work.

Developed by a team of accomplished school-system leaders, the Instructional Excellence Rubric is a clear, equity-focused, and rigorous instrument that is both comprehensive and easy to use, enabling educators to hold a high-bar of excellence for themselves and their students, prioritizing what matters most to drive student outcomes.

The Instructional Observation Rubric is for you, if you:
